Last week I received lots of fabulous stickers in the post from stickermule, featuring a couple of my very own illustrations and – wow! Not only was it really lovely of them to print these for me but the sticker quality is top notch – the print is perfect, the vinyl is impressively thick and the colours are spot on.

I don't normally post my own work or ramble on about how wonderful an online service is on my blog but I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough - thanks, stickermule!

Isidro Ferrer's graphic illustration work is superbly sophisticated - this elegant image is for a children's opera season at Liceo de Barcelona.

These fantastic paintings by Jung-Yeon Min are like something from another world.

Corinne Vionnet creates artwork by carefully layers 200 to 300 tourist photos over each other, making a vague but clear impression which seems like a sort of collective memory.

Stanley Donwood's art is currently on show at The Outsiders gallery in London. His work is inspired by nature and northern European stories and myths - I am very much drawn to this piece called "Bad Woods III", which has a haunting feel to it.

Nothing for me can beat strong blocks of colour and a strong, simple composition. This "Salamander" lithograph by Ernst Deutsch is certainly to my liking - it was made in 1912 and can be found in the MoMA's collection (which is a great online resource to browse, by the way).

This is a calculator from back in the 1950s, also known a "magic brain" calculator! What a wonderful way to describe such a thing. I'll never take them for granted again.

I really like Nicola Meiring's graphic illustrations, which use shape and pattern to great effect.

Isabelle Hayeur created 'Fire with Fire', a video installation in Vancouver, Canada. The work is site-specific and used 3 Blu-ray players and video projectors.

The piece is a 15 minute video loop, simulating fire in a building in the Downtown Eastside, the city's oldest and most run-down neighbourhood.
Many lives have been blighted by social problems due to poverty. 'Fire with Fire' calls attention to the present conditions of the area whilst recalling the destructive Great Vancouver Fire of 1886.

This "Heart Signet" is from Digby & Iona’s Signet Collection. It is a ring which also acts as a working wax seal. I like the heart design, which looks very sweet despite the lack of sentimentality!

The text on the edge of the ring says “E Cosi Desio Me Mena” which translates as “And So Desire Carries Me Along”, a quote from Petrarch’s 1342 work, Canzoniere.

Helmut Smits' work makes me smile - this piece called "Paddling Pool Fountain" is especially wonderful.

Jessica Tremp combines her love for theatrics, romanticism and nature with considerable self-taught photography skills.

Break a Lead is a Tumblr showcasing up and coming young illustrators from the University of the West of England, Bristol. Some fantastic work being posted - my tip is to click "Follow" and watch as the frequently-posted illustrations brighten up your Dashboard. Degree shows will be announced shortly - I'm looking forward to seeing the work in person!

This particularly super illustration is by Fran Court. 

Mathilde Aubier is a French graphic designer and illustrator. Her stylish vintage-tinted collages caught my eye.

'Broken Dinnerware' is a set of plates and bowls which feature printed cracks that appear to be closed with staples.

Kobi Levi is a footwear designer who creates some of the most inventive shoes I have ever seen. The concepts are both clever and funny, realised impeccably through hand made craftsmanship. Make sure to check out the rest of his work.

I admire Colin Chillag's for both being super-detailed and partially deconstructed - the "unfinished" abstract parts feel equally as important as the portrait.

Simon Clarke's photo "the trees have eyes" made me stop in my tracks. Wow! Creepy cool.

Trey Speegle's "paint-by-numbers"-inspired works are really smart in the way they incorporate meaningful text.
