bus route poster

I would be happy to own many (or any) of the wonderful items sold on the lovely Present&Correct but WOW, yes, this print would be very welcome on my wall indeed!

An original print from the mid 60s, this striking transport poster makes fine use of limited colour and bold lines. The space in the centre of the poster is where travel details would have been written.

Brian Kerr has a great post on his blog about the London Underground map and imagery associated with it. I'm particularly fond of David Booth's 1986 poster for the Tate, which shows the map drawn with paint squeezed from tubes.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I discovered that Stasys Eidrigevicius had launched his own website. Happy day!

Born in Lithuania and based in Poland, his poster art is legendary, combining an incredible skill and wit. It is so exciting for me to see his images of his work in other areas, including performance, sculpture and masks. Visit his site today and be inspired.

I'm well aware that summer was a while ago now but this poster for The Partners'  summer party is super smart. It is also quite the accurate reflection of the British weather for most of the year, regardless of season.
