stickermule

Media_httpimg39images_eubcl

Last week I received lots of fabulous stickers in the post from stickermule, featuring a couple of my very own illustrations and – wow! Not only was it really lovely of them to print these for me but the sticker quality is top notch – the print is perfect, the vinyl is impressively thick and the colours are spot on.

I don't normally post my own work or ramble on about how wonderful an online service is on my blog but I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough - thanks, stickermule!

heart signet

This "Heart Signet" is from Digby & Iona’s Signet Collection. It is a ring which also acts as a working wax seal. I like the heart design, which looks very sweet despite the lack of sentimentality!

The text on the edge of the ring says “E Cosi Desio Me Mena” which translates as “And So Desire Carries Me Along”, a quote from Petrarch’s 1342 work, Canzoniere.

vertebrae

“Vertebrae” is the name of this glass-filled nylon jewellery, made by Molly Epstein. She says the main objective of her work is "the point at which the relationship to the object enhances awareness of one's own existence and connects the emotional to the physical being".

I like seeing intelligent jewellery which wouldn't necessarily be considered traditional and this is a perfect example.

photo hanger

These 'Photo Hanger' clips were designed by Juta Kan, using wire shaped as a clip in the form of a tiny clothes hanger. I guess they could be used as paperclips or to pin items onto a noticeboard, though I quite like the idea of suspending them from a mini clothes line to display favourite pictures.

ghost wallet

This ghost wallet by La Lisette makes me smile - I love that the ghost is the same colour as the background. Also, how many happy ghosts do you see with rosy cheeks? That's a unique ghost right there - you can get one for $25.85 here

polar bear

This polar bear designed by Karl Zahn is one of a series of totem figures which double as boxes, allowing it to function as both a great-looking sculpture and hiding place for important objects. It can be bought from AREAWARE
