The Art of Lost Words is an exhibition of design, typography and illustration inspired by forgotten words.

Shown above is Geoff Grandfield's interpretation of the word 'antelucan', meaning 'before dawn or daylight'.

The Art Of Lost Words runs until 9 March at The German Gymnasium, Pancras Road, London NW1 (opposite St Pancras International station). Proceeds from sold work go towards the National Lieracy Fund.

YourFonts is a free web-based service that turns your handwriting into a font. All you have to do is download the PDF template, print it and fill each box with your own hand writing (or anything else, come to think of it...oooh, the possibilities!).

Then you simply scan and upload the file to the website - YourFonts turn this into a TrueType font instantly for you to download. I had a quick go myself, as you can see above. It definitely seems too be a useful and fun resource.

This is a great 8×10 color photographic print of a “Royal” and “Remington” typewriter keys, by Typography Photography - available for $25 on the wonderful Supermarket website (a fine place to browse designers goods for sale).

I've noticed typewriter keys a lot recently - it's a trend I like.
